The Grants Pass Cavemen fell victim to the Sheldon Irish's's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Irish at home and fell 49-0. Grants Pass has struggled against Sheldon recently, as their match on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Jordan Rossetta threw for 112 yards on 12 of 30 attempts. Cole Carnes was his top target, picking up 60 receiving yards.
Among those leading the charge was Colby Parosa , who rushed for 77 yards and three touchdowns. Marley Bonin got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Grants Pass' loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Sheldon, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grants Pass will take on Roseburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Roseburg has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since September 1. As for Sheldon, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against West Salem at 7:00 p.m. West Salem is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
