Rashad Dockery's Big Game Leads South View over Purnell Swett
Starting off the list is South View's Rashad Dockery, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Dockery rushed for 202 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.
The victory was the third in a row for South View, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Dockery and South View will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cape Fear at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Ezekiel Reed stepped things up a notch to give Gray's Creek the 'W'. Lumberton had no answer to Reed as he rushed for 221 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.
Lumberton had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Reed it was a similar story. When Reed last faced the Pirates back in October of 2023, he rushed for 155 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.

Seventy-First Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Donavan Frederick
Donavan Frederick was instrumental in extending Seventy-First's winning streak to seven on Friday. Frederick did his part (and then some), rushing for 65 yards on only eight carries for the 'W'.
Seventy-First's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Frederick and Seventy-First will look to defend their home field on Friday against Purnell Swett at 7:30 p.m.

Deandre Nance Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Seventy-First picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Deandre Nance. Nance showed up in a big way, rushing for 113 yards on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 151 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (100.1) per game.
Nance is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Purnell Swett on Friday. Nance rushed for 73 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 65 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Rams duked it out back in October of 2023.
