Chesapeake took a 14-run defeat the last time they faced off against Loch Raven, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bay Hawks skirted past the Raiders 10-9. The Bay Hawks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Chesapeake's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Loch Raven, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Chesapeake and Loch Raven will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Bay Hawks see the field they'll take on Overlea at 4:00 p.m. on the 13th. As for Loch Raven, their break will end when they face Dundalk on the 14th.
