Sunnyside is 9-0 against McLane since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Sunnyside Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the McLane Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. Sunnyside will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Even though Torres scored an imposing 41 points on Friday, Sunnyside still came out on top. Sunnyside strolled past Torres with points to spare, taking the game 60-41.
McLane aren't just finding sucess at home, as their game on Friday extended their overall winning streak to three. They really took it to Madera South for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-0 victory at home. The result was nothing new for McLane, who have now won five matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.
Noah Zamora was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 133 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Julyen Scott was another key contributor, picking up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Sunnyside to 7-1 and McLane to 6-2.
Everything came up roses for Sunnyside against McLane in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 36-6 victory. Will Sunnyside repeat their success, or does McLane have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
