Baseball Recap: Molalla Has No Trouble Against Gladstone

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Molalla and Gladstone had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Indians put the hurt on the Gladiators with a sharp 9-3 victory on Wednesday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Camdyn Morey made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Morey was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nyxon Hopping, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Grant Brusseau, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Molalla kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Molalla's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Gladstone, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10.
