The Granby Memorial Bears pushed their score all the way to 67 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Windsor Locks. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Wednesday (59), Granby Memorial still had to take the loss.
Windsor Locks was led to victory by Kyle Hinckley and Sincere Monroe. Hinckley scored 23 points along with five rebounds, while Monroe scored 24 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Hinckley continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Clayton Shufelt was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
This is the second loss in a row for Granby Memorial and nudges their season record down to 4-5. As for Windsor Locks, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Granby Memorial will take on Farmington at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Windsor Locks, they will head out on the road to square off against Rockville at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
