The Plattsburgh Hornets lost against the Beekmantown Eagles back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Plattsburgh took a serious blow against Beekmantown, falling 44-12. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Plattsburgh in their matchups with Beekmantown: they've now lost four in a row.
Although Plattsburgh took the loss, they still got scores from Dominic Deangelo and Landon Ladue.
Plattsburgh's loss was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.2 points per game. As for Beekmantown, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Plattsburgh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Beekmantown will square off against Peru at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Peru is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
