Cabell Midland is a perfect 5-0 against Blazer since September of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Knights will challenge the Tomcats at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Cabell Midland took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Riverside a 10-0 shutout. Given Cabell Midland's advantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Riverside are ranked 73rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cabell Midland's offense was hitting Riverside from everywhere, as nine different players booted in a goal. Brady Call led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Blazer made easy work of Pikeville on Saturday and carried off an 8-2 win. Considering Blazer's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Cabell Midland has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those eight matchups. As for Blazer, their win bumped their record up to 6-8-2.

Cabell Midland beat Blazer 2-0 in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
