Osceola has gone 6-1 against Dunedin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Osceola Warriors will be playing at home against the Dunedin Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Osceola will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
Last Tuesday, everything went Osceola's way against Hollins as Osceola made off with an 11-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.
Bri Shephard was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mia Maurer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Shephard wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Osceola kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Dunedin fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Northeast on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 4-3. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Maelaea Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Aliyah Roseman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Osceola pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Dunedin, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
Both Osceola and Dunedin just can't seem to miss. Osceola has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Dunedin struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Osceola took their victory against Dunedin when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2. Does Osceola have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dunedin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
