The Columbia Academy Bulldogs had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Battle Ground Academy and snuck past 61-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Columbia Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Griffin Cooper out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Jackson, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Columbia Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. As for Battle Ground Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 23-5 record this season.
