With a playoff game on the line, the Girard College Cavaliers rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-44 victory over the Wolves. Given Girard College's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 296th in Pennsylvania, while the Wolves are ranked 654th in New Jersey), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Antoine Seals, who scored 27 points along with three steals. Brasen Avent was another key contributor, scoring two points along with 20 rebounds and five steals.
Girard College's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Foundation Collegiate Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Girard College does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Foundation Collegiate Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
