The Chenango Forks Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Greene Trojans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Chenango Forks can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against Chenango Valley by a score of 68-58.
It was another big night for Stephen Samsel, who scored 35 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Chenango Forks' points. Another player making a difference was Nate Raab, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Greene had to start their season on the road back in December of 2023, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Chenango Valley.
Chenango Forks' victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Greene, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Chenango Forks lost to Greene at home by a decisive 49-33 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2017. Thankfully for Chenango Forks, Ryan Smith (who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
