Chambers/Wheeler Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Twin Loup apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Chambers/Wheeler Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elijah Heinz, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Beau Butterfield, who scored eight points.
Chambers/Wheeler Central bumped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Twin Loup, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.
Chambers/Wheeler Central will head out on the road to face off against Creighton on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Creighton is ranked 252nd, while Chambers/Wheeler Central is ranked 250th). As for Twin Loup, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ansley/Litchfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
