South Jefferson had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They never let the General Brown Lions get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

South Jefferson pushed their record up to 4-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for General Brown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

South Jefferson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
