The Kilgore Bulldogs waltzed into Friday's matchup with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They blew past Chapel Hill 39-16. Kilgore might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six contests by 23 points or more this season.
Despite the loss, Chapel Hill still got an impressive performance from Rickey Stewart, who rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 81 receiving yards. Stewart hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for eight straight games.
Kilgore's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Chapel Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Kilgore will head out on the road to face off against Livingston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Livingston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday. Chapel Hill will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Little Cypress-Mauriceville at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Little Cypress-Mauriceville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 388th, while Chapel Hill is ranked 101st).
