The Pima Roughriders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season. They took their match on the road on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 65-13 victory over Valley Union. The victory was nothing new for Pima as they're now sitting on four straight.
Ady Hoopes was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds. Hoopes is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lea Llamas, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Pima's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Valley Union, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Pima will head out on the road to face off against Snowflake at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Snowflake is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Pima a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Valley Union won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fort Thomas at 11:30 a.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Fort Thomas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday.
