The Weeping Water Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sacred Heart. That's two games in a row now that Weeping Water has lost by exactly 12 points.
Weeping Water's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riggs Wilson, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Sayler Rhodes, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Weeping Water has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Sacred Heart, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.
Weeping Water will be playing at home against Cornerstone Christian School on Monday. Sacred Heart is on the road again on Friday and plays Lourdes Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on February 16th.
