Heights is 8-2 against Westside since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Heights is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 69-0 win over Houston Math Science & Tech. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Heights' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kobe Miles, who threw for 213 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and Phelan Powell, who rushed for 163 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries. Miles is becoming a predictor of the Bulldogs' success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Kaden Cole was Miles' top target, picking up 97 receiving yards and two scores.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Westside, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Cesar E. Chavez 57-0 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Lobos: they've now won seven in a row.
Heights better keep an eye on Dillyn White. He was instrumental in Westside's win, rushing for 145 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave White a new career-high. Gavin Allen was another key player, rushing for 44 yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Westside was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 174 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.
Westside's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Heights, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Miles and White. Miles just won't slow down this season and has thrown 22 touchdowns (and and only 4 picks) while averaging 182.1 passing yards per game. White has been a dominant force too and has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 113 rushing yards per game.
Everything came up roses for Heights against Westside in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 51-0 victory. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
