West Albany and Silverton are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Foxes at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
West Albany is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Crescent Valley 24-7 on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won three contests in a row.
Kodi Carapinha 2026 made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, eight RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5.

In other batting news, Meritt Forney 2025 was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Campbell Akers 2027, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.
West Albany hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crescent Valley struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Silverton got themselves on the board against Corvallis on Monday, but Corvallis never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Spartans. The Foxes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.
Like West Albany, Silverton also got a great game from a two-way player: Mckenzee Petersen. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Petersen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Silverton got a massive performance out of Hannah Houts, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Zellee Herman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Silverton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for West Albany, they pushed their record up to 7-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
