The Mt. Carmel Golden Aces will head out to challenge the Casey-Westfield Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Carmel is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Mt. Carmel got the win against Flora by a conclusive 13-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Aces.

Presley White spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Evie Sellers was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Lyla Keepes was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Mt. Carmel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after a string of 13 wins, Casey-Westfield's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Richland County.
Casey-Westfield also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Ava Goble gave up three earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits.
At the plate, Gyllyane Gilbert was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Mt. Carmel's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Casey-Westfield, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 19-2.
Mt. Carmel couldn't quite get it done against Casey-Westfield when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Golden Aces avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
