It was a good run, but the Auburn Adventist Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They received a tough blow as they fell 69-53 to Summit Classical Christian School. Auburn Adventist was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Summit Classical Christian School apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Auburn Adventist lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jonathan Russell. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. Another player making a difference was John-Andrew Dubreuil, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Summit Classical Christian School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trey Hodo, who scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hodo has scored all season. Jake Gledhill was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Auburn Adventist's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Summit Classical Christian School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Auburn Adventist will be playing at home against Evergreen Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Summit Classical Christian School, they will head out on the road to challenge Muckleshoot Tribal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Muckleshoot Tribal has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 939 points over their last 13 contests.
