Saint Francis Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were beaten by Oak Hall 74-44. Saint Francis Catholic has struggled against Oak Hall recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Saint Francis Catholic saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Cyrus Fariborzian, who scored 4 points along with 3 steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Thomas, who scored 9 points.
Meanwhile, Bell's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Bronson, falling 56-22.
Their wins bumped Saint Francis Catholic to 3-1 and Oak Hall to 3-0.
Saint Francis Catholic beat Bell 44-37 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Saint Francis Catholic since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
