The Macomb Bombers will head out on the road to square off against the Seymour Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Macomb is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Macomb didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Camp Point Central, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory.
Meanwhile, Seymour took a serious blow against Griggsville-Perry on Friday, falling 60-32. While losing is never fun, Seymour can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 478th, while Griggsville-Perry is ranked 175th).
Macomb is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Seymour, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-18.
Macomb was able to grind out a solid victory over Seymour when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 58-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Macomb since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
