The Lancaster Baptist Eagles''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 43-6 defeat at the hands of Cornerstone Christian. Lancaster Baptist was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cornerstone Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reed Ebberts, who rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Devin Jarrett was another key contributor, rushing for 22 yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Cornerstone Christian's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 6.5 sacks. Lancaster Baptist's QB won't forget Logan Wickwire anytime soon given Wickwire sacked him six times.
Lancaster Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Cornerstone Christian, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-2.
Lancaster Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cornerstone Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
