San Tan Foothills was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Apache Junction on Monday. The San Tan Foothills Sabercats blew past the Apache Junction Prospectors 61-28. The Sabercats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

San Tan Foothills' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cienna Witcher, who posted 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Witcher has scored at least a third of San Tan Foothills' points. Ahmira Taylor was another key player, putting up 18 points.

San Tan Foothills pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Apache Junction, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

San Tan Foothills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-37 win against Globe on the 17th. As for Apache Junction, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Coolidge at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
