The John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles pushed their score all the way to 67 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 83-67 bruising from Glenville. John F. Kennedy has not had much luck with Glenville recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Despite the loss, John F. Kennedy still got an impressive performance from Damarion Logan, who scored 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Olinger, who scored eight points.
Glenville found their leader in underclassman Arvell Nelson Jr, who scored 22 points. That's the first time this season that Nelson Jr scored 15 or more points. Damarion Witten was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six blocks and five rebounds.
John F. Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Glenville, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
John F. Kennedy will head out on the road to face off against Ellet at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Glenville, they will take on Lutheran East at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Lutheran East presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Glenville in Ohio (Lutheran East is ranked 11th, while Glenville is ranked 120th).
