Cahokia recap October 8, 2013
Dupo's Kyle Lachance recorded the longest rushing play in Cahokia this season in his game against Metro-East Lutheran last week. Lachance scampered for 75 yards on the play and finished with 239 on the day as his team topped the Knights.
Columbia extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Freeburg, 21-14. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Eagles.
Dupo's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brett Aldridge threw for 88 and 2 touchdowns and Corey Biggs had 40 yards receiving. On the ground Lachance contributed 239 yards. Lachance helped Dupo's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 48 yards.
Lachance provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Tim Nelson's team defeated Metro-East Lutheran.
Lachance was a beast in the backfield as the Tigers defeated Andrew Kohler's team.
Lachance was the most successful running back in the league this week. Tyler Barnes also contributed to the rushing game with 134 yards on the ground.
Dupo's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Aldridge has thrown for 480 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Barnes has 17 catches for 143 yards.
An important game coming up in Cahokia this week will be when Columbia takes on Central. At the moment, Scott Horner's team is in first, while the Cougars are in third.
Dupo took down the Knights 52-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Lachance caught 1 pass for 48 yards during the win.
