 Even though they lost, South Mountain was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington only posted a  batting average of  .182.
 Meanwhile, North Canyon earned  an  8-3 win over Kellis  on Tuesday.
 South Mountain's loss was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 2-18. As for North Canyon, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record  this season.
 South Mountain suffered a grim  12-2 defeat to North Canyon  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023. Can South Mountain avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
