Basketball Game Preview: West Point-Beemer Cadets vs. Tekamah-Herman Tigers

West Point-Beemer is 10-0 against Tekamah-Herman since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The West Point-Beemer Cadets are taking a road trip to square off against the Tekamah-Herman Tigers at 2:00 p.m. West Point-Beemer will be strutting in after a victory while Tekamah-Herman will be coming in after a loss.

West Point-Beemer will head into Thursday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Schuyler on Thursday. West Point-Beemer was the clear victor by a 48-26 margin over Schuyler. The Cadets pushed the score to 38-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors had little chance of recovering from.

It was another big night for Allie Kaup, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Campbell Snodgrass, who posted 11 points and seven boards.

West Point-Beemer smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Tekamah-Herman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a hard 49-32 fall against Madison. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 17 points.

West Point-Beemer has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Tekamah-Herman, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

West Point-Beemer beat Tekamah-Herman 54-45 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Will West Point-Beemer repeat their success, or does Tekamah-Herman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
