On WednesdayWest Johnston kept up with Fike until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Fike Demons were the clear victor by a 68-48 margin over the West Johnston Wildcats. The Demons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

West Johnston's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Gilmore, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Caden Hartman, who earned seven points and seven boards.

Fike's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for West Johnston, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
