The Bay Path RVT Minutemen fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 49-40 win over Keefe Tech on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Bay Path RVT's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while Keefe Tech is ranked 129th).
Bay Path RVT was led to victory by Dale Nussey and Corey Scovil. Nussey scored 14 points, while Scovil dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scovil has scored all season. Zack Moody was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Several Broncos players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was George Anastos, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eidan Toppa, who scored 14 points.
Bay Path RVT's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Keefe Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
Bay Path RVT will head out on the road to square off against University Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Keefe Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ashland at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
