Softball Recap: Southlake Carroll Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Southlake Carroll had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Keller Central Chargers 20-3. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Southlake Carroll got a massive performance out of Kelli Warden, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits Warden has posted since back in February of 2024. Cate Stoklas also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Southlake Carroll always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Southlake Carroll's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-11. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Keller Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-16-1.

Southlake Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Keller Central, they will take on Byron Nelson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcat will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight.
