The West Fargo Packers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Oakes by a score of 49-41 on Saturday.
When it comes to explaining why Oakes lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lily Thorpe. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Thorpe hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Schmitz, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
West Fargo is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-12 record this season. As for Oakes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.
West Fargo will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Horace's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups. As for Oakes, they will head out on the road to square off against the Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Lisbon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
