Richland posted their biggest win since November 9th on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Palestine Wildcats as the Richland Royals made off with a 72-49 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Royals.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ashton Cook, who posted 12 points along with six boards and three steals. Cook is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Bj Walker was another key player, going 6 for 11 on his way to 14 points and four steals.
Richland now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Palestine, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Richland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-51 loss against University on the 14th. As for Palestine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-47 win against Waco on the 14th.
