The Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Coastal Christian, posting a 53-21 win on the road. The victory was just what Cape Fear Academy needed coming off of a 70-45 defeat in their prior match.
Cape Fear Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Milly Kelley out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 steals. Another player making a difference was Naomi Sharewise, who scored ten points along with six assists and six steals.
Cape Fear Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Coastal Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Cape Fear Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Arendell Parrott Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Coastal Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against John Paul II Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. John Paul II Catholic will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
