Even though the Pecos Eagles scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, the Kermit Yellow Jackets still came out on top. Kermit managed a 60-56 victory over Pecos. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kermit.
Julian Saenz was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 21 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Pando, who scored 8 points.
Kermit now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Pecos, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Kermit will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Jal at 10:00 a.m. As for Pecos, they will head out on the road to face off against Stanton at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stanton is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
