The Spackenkill Spartans stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Dover at home to the tune of 86-36. With Spackenkill ahead 61-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Despite the loss, Dover still got an impressive performance from Caden Green, who scored 16 points. Green is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shazell Bush, who scored seven points.
The victory made it two in a row for Spackenkill and bumps their season record up to 14-3. As for Dover, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11.
Spackenkill will challenge Pine Plains at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Spackenkill is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in New York (they are ranked 117th, while Pine Plains is ranked 648th). As for Dover, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ellenville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
