The Dilley Wolves had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Santa Rosa by a score of 34-27 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for Dilley as they're now sitting on six straight.
Among those leading the charge was Ethan Santos, who rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown. Dorian Aranda made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Dilley's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Santa Rosa, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Dilley will head out on the road to face off against Tidehaven at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tidehaven knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Dilley likes a good challenge. Santa Rosa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
