Fremont hasn't had much luck against Roy recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Silverwolves will look to defend their home field against the Royals at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Fremont is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 65-3 win over West Field. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-3.
Taylor Graham had a dynamite game, rushing for 145 yards and two scores on only seven carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Manase Tuatagaloa, who threw for 202 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Fremont proved: they limited West Field to a paltry 2.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Taggart Burton for the heroic effort on defense: he. Fremont didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.6.
Fremont didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brendan Glover, Slade Parker, and Landon Palmer picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Roy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three last Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Knights, sneaking past 10-7.
Fremont's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Roy, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Wednesday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Fremont has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 206.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Roy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 177.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Wednesday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Fremont took a serious blow against Roy in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, falling 50-16. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Silverwolves were down 29-0.
