East Jessamine has gone a perfect 4-0 against Lincoln County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Jaguars will venture away from home to challenge the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. East Jessamine is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
East Jessamine hadn't beaten Henry Clay on the road since April 6, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 9-1 win.
Remie Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Like East Jessamine, Lincoln County also got a great game from a two-way player: Trinity Price. Price was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. East Jessamine hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. However, it's not like Lincoln County struggles in that department as they've averaged .360. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
East Jessamine skirted past Lincoln County 6-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2018. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
