The Oceanside Mariners stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Belfast 80-42 on the road. The win was just business As usual For Oceanside, who after 15 games remain undefeated this season.
Bailey Breen continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Renee Ripley, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the loss, Belfast still got an impressive performance from Audri Goodwin, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Oceanside's win was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.4 points. As for Belfast, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
Oceanside's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mount View at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Mount View will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Oceanside is ranked second). As for Belfast, they will head out on the road to challenge Winslow at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Belfast is facing Winslow at the right time seeing as Winslow is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
