After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Walhalla, Pickens was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Pickens Blue Flame who were credited with the victory. The Pickens Blue Flame got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers's four. This was payback for the Blue Flame, who suffered a 4-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Ashton Smith and Tyler Sexton scored both of Pickens' goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The win got Pickens back to even at 2-2. As for Blue Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Pickens didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-2 defeat against Berea on the 13th. As for Blue Ridge, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Chapman on the 12th.
