Julian Lewis Delivers Electric Effort Vs Westlake
Julian Lewis's big game helped extend Carrollton's winning streak to seven on Friday. Lewis was dynamite, throwing for 325 yards and six touchdowns while completing 81.5% of his passes.

DJ Bourdeaux was a major factor in Douglas County's win over East Coweta on Friday. Bourdeaux turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 285 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 100 yards on only five carries.
Douglas County pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Tigers faces off against Westlake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Jayshon Stegall Leads East Coweta over Douglas County
East Coweta came up short on Friday despite Jayshon Stegall delivering his best game to date. Stegall rushed for 188 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
East Coweta now has a losing record at 3-4. Stegall and East Coweta will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th.

Travis Smith Jr Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Sadly, Travis Smith Jr posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Westlake over Carrollton on Friday. Smith Jr picked up 259 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average receiving yardage north of 100 yards per game (121.3). He is becoming a predictor of Westlake's success: when he posts at least 80 receiving yards the team is undefeated (and 0-4 when he doesn't).
Westlake dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Lions dukes it out withDouglas County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
