Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Mesivta). They blew past The City School Lions 86-48  on Wednesday. The  game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  46-24.
Mesivta's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Tzvi Bril led the charge by  dropping  a double-double on 22 points and ten  rebounds. Bril is trending in the right direction considering he's  improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Dov Hirsch, who  dropped  a double-double on 26 points and 11  rebounds.
 Mesivta was working as a unit and  finished the game with 28  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
Mesivta is  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record  this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 57.0 points per game. As for The City School,  they are  on  a  nine-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mesivta will welcome Pine Forge Academy  at 9:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for The City School, they won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Girard College  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The City School is facing Girard College at the right time seeing as Girard College is stuck on  an  eight-game losing streak.
