The Mater Academy Charter Lions will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against the South Miami Cobras at 6:00  p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
 On Monday, Mater Academy Charter got themselves on the board against Hialeah Educational Academy, but Hialeah Educational Academy never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Biggie  and snuck past  1-0.
 Not much got past  Kevin Roque, who gave up just  one  hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep Hialeah Educational Academy off the board. The  matchup also marked  Roque's first with at least .000  ERA  posted.
 On the hitting side, Mater Academy Charter saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Yodelkis Quevedo, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, South Miami narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Ransom Everglades  4-3.
  Albaro Bruno looked comfortable as he  tossed 2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks).
 At the plate, South Miami let  Elias Morales and  Yan Gonzalezvaldes loose on the outfield. Morales  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while  Gonzalezvaldes  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while going 2-for-4.  Andrew Alvarez was another key contributor,  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances with  an  RBI.
 Mater Academy Charter has  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten games,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record  this season. As for South Miami, their win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-7.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Tuesday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. Mater Academy Charter has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 8.5  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like South Miami struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 7. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
