Greenville waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Southwestern Piasa Birds with a sharp 9-2 victory. For the Comets, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Piasa Birds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Greenville's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Southwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Greenville is set to challenge their familiar foe Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Southwestern will face off against rival Pana at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
