This season hasn't been kind to the Caruthersville Tigers, who are still winless after their sixth contest. They were outmatched by Cairo at home and fell 85-30. Caruthersville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-19.
Cairo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shanti Taylor led the charge by scoring 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinty Posey, who scored 20 points.
Caruthersville bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.0 points per game. As for Cairo, their win bumped their record up to 7-16.

Malden presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Caruthersville in Missouri (Malden is ranked 244th, while Caruthersville is ranked 490th).
