Shea Towns made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other pitching news, Sydney Shaffer looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Nicole Schultz and Holly Frankl did most of the damage at the plate: Schultz scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Frankl scored a run while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Schultz has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kaman Reno, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Palm Beach Gardens always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dwyer only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Martin County was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 11-2 to Cardinal Gibbons.
Ciana Vargas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Palm Beach Gardens' win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Martin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
Palm Beach Gardens took their victory against Martin County when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-1 score. Will the Gators repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
