North Mason hasn't had much luck against Bainbridge recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Spartans at 4:15 p.m. North Mason is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
North Mason took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Bremerton a 10-0 shutout. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Boston Stanley and Danner Jones made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Stanley struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Jones pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Stanley got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Jones got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave Jones a new career-high.
In other batting news, Skylar McLean and Calvin Rice did most of the damage at the plate: McLean went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Rice went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those two hits gave McLean a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josiah Ringstad, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
North Mason hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Bainbridge has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.94 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against Jackson, falling 13-7. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
North Mason's record now sits at 9-6. As for Bainbridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.
North Mason might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Bainbridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
