The Kinder Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to square off against the Sulphur Golden Tors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kinder's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Sulphur's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Sulphur will be up against a hot Kinder squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Yellowjackets came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against Barbe.
Brianna Fontenot spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Sophie LeBoeuf and Aubrey May did most of the damage at the plate: LeBoeuf scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while May scored a run while going 1-for-3. Those two hits gave LeBoeuf a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Sulphur made easy work of Barbe on Tuesday and carried off a 13-3 victory. The Golden Tors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.
Pressy White made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. White was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Mariah Davis was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Keely LaBove was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
Sulphur always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Kinder pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Sulphur, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.
Kinder came out on top in a nail-biter against Sulphur in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 10-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
